"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
Adam and Eve chose to disobey God. In the expanse of Eden, there was only one fruit, from one tree that was forbidden. From their choices came our dilemma.
I must admit I am a sinner and separated from God.
"The wages of sin is death"
Adam and Eve did not die physically, but suffered a spiritual death. We only have to look at ourselves for proof. How easy it is to do wrong! Our "inheritance" from Adam and Eve is the very same spiritual death and separation from God for eternity.
I must understand that I deserve death for my sin.
"God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!"
Though the previous verses bring discouragement and fear, God has provided a way out. When Jesus died on the the cross, He paid sin's penalty. He took the sins of the world on Himself on the cross. He freed us from spiritual death.
Ask God to forgive you and save you.
"The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Salvation is a free gift from God to you! You can't earn His gift, but you must reach out and receive it. He is your only hope: Not your good works, religion, or church membership, but grace alone!Give you life to God
